Bogdanchikov, Sergey Mikhailovich

Sergei Mikhailovich Bogdanchikov (born August 10, 1957 , the village of Bogdanovka, Northern District of the Orenburg Region ) is a Russian manager, entrepreneur, president of the Rosneft oil company ( 1998 - 2010 ).

Biography

Sergei Bogdanchikov was born on August 10, 1957 in the village of Bogdanovka, Northern District, Orenburg Region. In 1976 he graduated from the Buguruslan Petroleum College, in 1981 - from the Ufa Petroleum Institute (specialty "Technology and complex mechanization of the development of oil and gas fields").

In the 1980s, he worked at the Ohaneftegazdobycha enterprise ( Sakhalin Island ), and from 1985 to 1988, he worked as an instructor in the industry department of the Sakhalin CPSU regional committee. In 1989 - 1993 he worked as the head of OGANEHANEFGAS. Since 1993 - General Director of the Sakhalinmorneftegaz production association of the state-owned enterprise Rosneft (later - Rosneft-Sakhalinmorneftegaz OJSC).

In 1997, Bogdanchikov was appointed vice president of Rosneft, in which he oversaw the company's Far Eastern projects. From October 14, 1998 to September 5, 2010 - President of Rosneft.

Family

He has two sons - Alexey (until January 2010 he worked as head of the investor relations department of Rosneft Oil Company OJSC [2] ) and Evgeny (first husband of Yulia Khristenko, the eldest daughter of former vice-premier and minister of industry Viktor Khristenko ).

Sergey Bogdanchikov - Doctor of Technical Sciences , Full Member of the International Academy of Fuel and Energy Complex , Head of the Department of Energy Security at the International Institute of Energy Policy and Diplomacy MGIMO .
