Geography
It is located on the left bank of the Tuim River 13 km south-east of the district center - the village of Shira [3] and 2 km of the Tuim railway station .

History
The village got its name at the beginning of the twentieth century, when the Achinsk-Abakan railway was built.

Attractions
Near Tupik, the Tuim failure is known - a hollow in the 125-meter Copper Mountain to the bottom of the mothballed underground mine [3] .
