Biography
Born July 30, 1872 in Tula. He graduated from the philological and law faculties of Moscow State University . In 1918 he headed the Central Bank of the People's Commissariat for Education , he held this position until 1922. In 1922 he was hired by the State Publishing House trade sector and appointed to the position of book expert, in 1926 he was elected director of the State Publishing House library, where he worked simultaneously with the director's work on the theory and history of bibliography. He was also known as a bibliophile, collecting a valuable library (25,000 books), after his death, their relatives donated the GBL .
Died June 23, 1937 in Moscow. He was buried at the Don cemetery .
