Biography

October Zharylganov was born on October 25, 1931 in the city of Yangiyul, Tashkent region of the Uzbek SSR.

He played in the national team of Kazakhstan (1955-58), in the Almaty team "Petrel" (champion of the republic in 1954-57).

From 1955 to 1962, October Kadyrbaevich Zharylganov was the head coach of the men's national team of Kazakhstan. Its pupils (V. Kravchenko, Zh. Sauranbaev, O. Antropov and others) are champions and prize-winners of the championships of the USSR, Europe, the world and the Olympic Games.

October Kadyrbaevich Zharylganov died on May 11, 1969 in the city of Alma-Ata.
