Biography
Born in the village of Bolshoi Melik, Balashov district, Saratov region, in a military and housewife family. He graduated from the All-Union State Institute of Cinematography (workshop of Sergei Yutkevich and Mikhail Romm ). Since 1951, he has been an actor in the Theater Studio of a film actor , since 1957, he was an actor at the Gorky Film Studio .
Grew a painful child, doctors recommended moving, changing the climate. Just the father of Jura was transferred to serve in the Far East , the family moved with him. The new climate saved Yura, he grew stronger and began to play sports. Not far from the house of Jura was the House of Pioneers , in which there was a drama circle. There Yurik studied for some time in this circle. However, the passion for sports was so strong that Yuri firmly decided to enter the Institute of Physical Culture.
He went with his comrades to Moscow to go to the gym, but one of Yura's acquaintances entered the VGIK and called Yura with him. Yura also decided to try and entered the first time. Sergey Yutkevich took the course, the first two years he taught classes, but then Mikhail Romm studied with the students. Acting was taught by Joseph Rapoport .
Has acted in films since 1951, mainly in supporting roles and episodes. He starred in such famous films as “ Planet of the Storms ”, “ Hyperboloid of Engineer Garin ”, “ Give a Paw, Friend! "," Cruel Romance "," Faithful Friends "and many, many others. Innokenty Stepanov in the film " Life Passed By " is one of the actor’s best works in the cinema.
He starred in 117 films [2] . He worked a lot on dubbing films. His voice was spoken by Ostap Bender - Archil Gomiashvili .
Yuri Dmitrievich died on August 24, 2005 in Moscow from a stroke at the 77th year of his life. The actor was buried in the Nikolo-Arkhangelsk cemetery [3] .
He lived since 1965 on Chasovaya Street , house 5-B [4] .
Personal life
Since 1954, Yuri Sarantsev was married to actress Vera Petrova (1927-2001). Daughter - Ekaterina Sarantseva (07/13/1962), in her youth she starred in the movie " There is a Mountain on a Mountain " (1977), but subsequently did not become an actress.
