Biography
Hristo Genchev was born July 15, 1897 in the city of Pirdop, Bulgaria in the family of a poor peasant. Hristo Genchev graduated from the city school, years of schooling - 1905-1909. In 1909 - 1917 he studied at the gymnasium.
From May 1917 to November 1918, Hristo Genchev served as an ordinary in the Bulgarian army in artillery. He lived in the village with his father, was engaged in peasant labor (1918-1921), was a surveyor of the village community (1921-1922). Hristo Genchev graduated from the Law Faculty of Sofia University (1918-1922).
Hristo Velkov Genchev was a secretary of the district committee of the Komsomol, a member of the county committee of the party, a secretary of the troika for the preparation of an armed uprising, a secretary of the control commission of the BKP (1920-1922), a member of the Bulgarian Communist Party (1920-1923), and the CPSU (B) from 1923. .
In 1922-1923 he was a courier in the illegal party group of G. Chochev, which served the communication channels Varna - Sevastopol , Varna - Odessa .
In 1923, Genchev Hristo left for the USSR, was an employee of Soviet military intelligence. Genchev participated in operations to transfer weapons from the USSR to Bulgaria to the partisans (June – August 1924). In 1924, Hristo Genchev was arrested by the Bulgarian police at the village of. St. Vlas in the Burgas region, at the time of his arrest he offered armed resistance. Hristo Velkov Genchev seven months later was sentenced to five years in prison. At the end of 1927 he was released under an amnesty.
In 1927-1930, Genchev Hristo performed the tasks of the RU of the headquarters of the Red Army in Austria and Czechoslovakia . From 1927 to 1933 he studied law at the Faculty of Law in Graz ( Austria ). In Vienna since 1930, he was in a group with Ivan Vinarov. Ivan Vinarov later wrote:

In 1933, Ivan Vinarov was summoned to Moscow and Hristo Genchev was appointed a resident, expanded the organization. In November 1933, Hristo Genchev was arrested and expelled from the country by the Austrian police in October 1934.
Hristo Genchev returned to the USSR . He graduated from the graduate school of the Communist University of National Minorities of the West ( KUNMZ ), then taught the history of the CPSU (b) in universities, worked in the Comintern .
Genchev Hristo was arrested on February 16, 1938, and on June 8, 1938, he was sentenced to eight years. Hristo Genchev died on June 20, 1943.
Hristo Velkov Genchev was repressed on February 16, 1938. Rehabilitated: in the USSR in 1956, in Bulgaria in 1989.
