Until 2013, the village was part of the Pärsti Parish .

Number of inhabitants
According to the 2011 census , 172 people lived in the village, of which 163 (94.8%) were Estonians . [3]
As of January 1, 2018, there were 169 residents in the village [4] .
Description
In the village there is Lake Kirikumyyza and dam lake Jaanuse. The Kawaku Creek flows through the village. In the village is the source of the Capsi stream.
The Imavere - Viljandi - Karksi-Nuia highway and the Tartu- Viljandi- Kilingi-Nõmme highway pass through the village.
In the village there is the guest house “ Pinska ” ( Pinska külalistemaja ) and since 1999 the woodworking company LLC “ Pinska ” ( Pinska OÜ ) has been operating .
History
The village of Pinsk appeared in 1923 on the lands of the Pinsk Manor . The eastern part of the village on the border with Viljandi is known as Maiste ( Est. Maiste , in 1638 it is referred to as Maiste Kuel ( German: Maiste Kuehl ) [2] ).
In 1977, most of the village of Kirikumyyza was merged with the village of Pinsk [2] .
