Biography

He entered the service in 1844, having received a home education. Member of the Caucasian war . He took part in the Dargin campaign of 1845 . Was injured. In 1851 he was promoted to ensign . Since 1853 he participated in the Crimean War . In 1854 he was promoted to second lieutenant , in 1855 - to lieutenant , in 1859 - to captains of staff .

Since 1860, he was for special assignments under the commander in chief of the Caucasian Army . Since 1862, he was for special assignments under the Caucasian governor, His Imperial Highness Grand Duke Mikhail Nikolaevich . In 1864, it was renamed the staff captains of the guard with the appointment of adjutant under Field Marshal Prince A. I. Baryatinsky . Since 1866 he was promoted to captain of the guard. In 1869 he was promoted to colonel of the guard.

In 1879 he was appointed Wing Adjutant of His Imperial Majesty . In 1880 he was promoted to major general with the appointment of being a member of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Empire . Since 1882, he was appointed to be a member of the Ministry of the Imperial Court of the Russian Empire .

Since 1886 he was appointed head of the Moscow Palace Administration . In 1894 he was promoted to lieutenant general .
