Marjolin's ulcer ( English Marjolin's ulcer ) - squamous cell carcinoma that occurs in chronic wounds and ulcers of any etiology [1] .
The development of the disease is due to the fact that the progression of atrophic and ischemic changes in the area of the extensive post-burn scar leads to the development of necrosis of the skin and underlying tissues, which is the reason for the formation of long-term non-healing ulcers [2] . In 1828, JN Marjolin for the first time described a patient with a post-burn scar whose edges underwent a malignant transformation [3] , therefore, since then, the cancer that developed in the scars has been called the Margjolen ulcer.
According to various sources, carcinoma in the tissue occurs in 1.7-6% of cases of long-term non-healing wounds, while it is characterized by rapid evolution and malignant course. The pathogenesis of this highly invasive malignant tumor is probably due to the appearance of mutant tumor cells in the tissue of the post-burn scar due to a decrease in immunological control by the body for the constancy of the cellular composition in dense scar tissues. The developed malignant tumor mediates an even deeper trophic disturbance and inhibition of the healing process of burn wounds [2] .
