Nuutele is an island of volcanic origin located 1.3 km east of the island of Upolu ( Samoa ). It is the largest of the islands of the Aleipat archipelago, with an area of 1.08 km².

Nuutele along with the small island of Nuulua make up a bird sanctuary. Nuutele has steep slopes and sea cliffs up to 180 m high. [1]
