Biography
Born July 5, 1939 in Bolshe-Lavrov. In 1957 he entered the library faculty of the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography , which he graduated in 1962, and in the same year he entered graduate school there, which he graduated in 1974. In 1965 he was elected to the post of director of the library of the Kalinin Polytechnic Institute , he held this position until 1969. In 1975, he was hired by the State Library for Literature, where he headed the department of library science and the National Library of Music for almost a year. In 1976 he was hired by the State Library, where for two years he headed the general theoretical problems of library science and the history of library science. In 1978, he was hired by the Central Institute for Advanced Studies of leading and creative cultural workers , where he served as deputy director until 1980. In 1981, he returned to the IPCC , where he taught at the library department until his death.
He died on June 24, 2005 in Moscow.
Scientific work
The main scientific works are devoted to the general theoretical problems of library science, methodology, methodology and organization of research in the field of library science, library science and practice abroad. The author of over 200 scientific papers, as well as textbooks on library science and educational and methodological manuals.
