Biography
Minas Georgievich Bagdykov was born on August 30, 1936 in the city of Rostov-on-Don . Minas Bagdykov in 1959 graduated from the Rostov Medical Institute . Until 1961, he worked in the city of Novocherkassk at the 1st city hospital as a surgeon. In the years 1961-1966, Minas Georgievich worked in Rostov-on-Don in the Central City Hospital as a resident of the surgical department. Under the guidance of Professor P. M. Shorluyan, Minas Georgievich defended his Ph.D. thesis on “The Effect of Tsigerol on Wound Healing,” which was published in 1967 as the Tsigerol monograph on P. M. Shorluyan [1] . After defending his dissertation (1966), he worked at the Rostov Medical Institute as an assistant in the Department of General Surgery.
Since 1983, he worked as an assistant professor at the Department of Advanced Medical Surgery at the Rostov Medical Institute . Since 1991, Minas Georgievich was the deputy chief physician for surgery of the medical unit of Rostselmash OJSC in Rostov-on-Don. In 2003–2012, M. G. Bagdykov was the head of the cabinet for accounting and medical statistics of the Regional Clinical Hospital No. 2.
For the first time in the city’s healthcare practice, Minas Georgievich introduced endoscopic treatment methods: in the ENT, surgical, urological departments.
Minas Georgievich Bagdykov developed a new method for treating the surgeon's hands before surgery, he proposed a composition of ointment based on cygerol for the treatment of infected wounds. Zigerol was used for the healing of radiation burns of the first ― second degree obtained in Chernobyl. Zigerol began to acquire clinics in the United States , Japan , France .
He is the author of more than 100 scientific papers and guidelines, 4 monographs. Two monographs are devoted to the study of the domestic drug tsigerol, they were exhibited at VDNH, received a medal and a diploma.
M. G. Bagdykov prepared 8 candidates of medical sciences and one doctor of medical sciences.
In 2017, Minas Georgievich Bagdykov was awarded the Minister of Health of the Rostov Region Tatyana Yuryevna Bykovskaya with the commemorative medal “80 years of the Rostov Region”.
Journalistic activity
Since 1990, Minas Georgievich has been engaged in journalistic activities, has authored books on local history issues, published in local newspapers, magazines "South Star" and "Ark", was a member of the editorial staff of these magazines, and spoke on radio and television on the topics of medicine and the history of the city of Rostov - to the Don . In 1991, the book of Minas Georgievich “Nakhichevan portraits” was published, then he wrote the books “Faces of the Past”, “Nakhichevan Findings” and others. In 2007, G. Bagdykov and his sons published the work “... And give a place to a doctor”, this book is devoted to the history of medicine in Rostov-on-Don and Nakhichevan, which reflects the names and biographies of the best doctors and scientists.
