Geography
The village is located 19 km south-east from the center of the settlement of Bolshoe Karinskoe and 16 km south-east from the city of Alexandrov .
History
In the 19th and early 20th centuries, the village was part of the Makhrinskaya volost of the Aleksandrovsky uyezd , since 1926 it has been part of the Karabanovskoy volost . In 1859 [2] there were 11 courtyards in the village, in 1905 [3] - 27 courtyards, in 1926 [4] - 24 courtyards.
Since 1929, the village has been the center of the Kovskyaevsky village council of the Aleksandrovsky district , since 1940 - as part of the Makhrinsky village council , since 1948 - as part of the suburban area of the city of Alexandrov , since 1965 - as part of the Aleksandrovsky district , since 2005 - as part of the Karinsky rural settlement .
