Biography
Born October 12, 1934 in the village. Shumorovo Mglinsky district of the Bryansk region.
He graduated from the Kazan Anti-Aircraft School (1956), the Kiev Higher Artillery Engineering School (1964), the Military Academy of the General Staff of the USSR Armed Forces (1980).
He served as platoon commander, battery, division, deputy regiment commander, deputy brigade commander.
From 1971 to 1975 - commander of the 120th anti-aircraft missile brigade "Circle" of the 28th All-Arms Army of the Belarusian Military District.
In 1976, he was appointed the first chief of staff of the Air Defense Forces of the Belarusian Military District. For more than 2 and a half years he was the commander of the air defense forces of the 5th tank army of the Belarusian military district. Since 1980 - the commander of the air defense of the North Caucasus Military District, since 1981 - the commander of the air defense of the Siberian Military District. [one]
Since 1983 - Head of the 39th Research Institute of Air Defense of the USSR Ground Forces. [2]
From February 1992 to 1993, he was the first head of the Central Research Institute of Air Defense of the Ground Forces of Ukraine.
After his dismissal, he continued his scientific career at a number of NRUs and the National Academy of Defense of Ukraine as a professor in the department of operational art. [3]
He defended his thesis in 1988, the title of senior researcher was awarded in 1990, associate professor in 2004 [4]
He was awarded the Order of the Red Star, "For Service to the Homeland in the USSR Armed Forces" 2nd and 3rd centuries, 14 medals. [five]
He prepared and published 163 scientific works, among which the monograph “39 Scientific Research Institute of Air Defense of the Ground Forces of the USSR Armed Forces” occupies a special place. [6]
