Ticks are round in shape; the length of the idiosome is 430–970. Subosomal shield is available. Opistosomal and pygidial shields are absent. Stigmas without peritreum are located dorsolaterally. Mesosomal scutes present or absent. There are no post-stigmal scutes. The gnatosome is located terminally. Deuterosternal denticles absent. Tritosternum is absent. The sternal shield is present or absent. Genital shield available. An anal shield is present or reduced. The anus is located on the ventral or dorsal side of the opistosome. Cribrum is present or absent. Bulges and spikes on coke are absent.
