Summary
From information about the film on the cover of the video cassette: “Having fallen in love with the handsome Sergey, Lida endured his marriage to another. And when a misfortune happened to Sergey that confined him to bed and his wife left him, Lida came to him and stayed with Sergey forever. ”
The modest and inconspicuous Lida Tenyakova met in dance with the handsome Sergey Sergey Vatagin , and he immediately fell into her soul. But the "ladies man" does not pay any attention to the simple-minded simpleton and quickly switches to the blonde Marta , the dream of all local men.
Soon Sergey and Martha get married and together leave for his mother in the village. There, a young husband gets a job at a timber industry farm, where he works without sparing himself in order to earn as much money as possible for his family.
A misfortune happens on the cutting area with Sergey : a tree falls on him and he is bedridden. Marta , who became one of the culprits of this tragedy (he and team leader Mikhail sent Sergey to the cutting area in the fog, although it is strictly forbidden to cut the forest during safety fog), is not ready to devote herself to caring for her seriously ill husband. She throws Sergey and returns to the city.
Lida , having learned from her rival Martha at an accidental meeting with her at a city disco about the misfortune that happened to Sergey , leaves everything in the city and goes to her beloved man to stay with him forever, despite the fact that in the city she has serious intentions looking for a promising traffic police officer Vasily , ready for anything for his beloved.
Sergei is not at all happy about Lida’s arrival, but the girl’s great selfless love, her faith in his recovery, faithfulness and boundless patience work wonders. Lydia manages to return Sergey to a full-fledged lifestyle. In the final of the film, she informs her beloved that they will have a child. This joyful news becomes for Sergey a kind of emotional “push” and he gets on his feet ...
