Decision No. 535 of the Executive Committee of the Sverdlovsk Regional Council of People's Deputies of December 31, 1987 assigned the status of an architectural monument of regional significance [1] .
Content
Architecture
It was erected in the second half of the nineteenth century in the eclectic style [2] . The author of the project is Ernst Christian Georg Sartorius , a student of the famous Ural architect M.P. Malakhov . The first owner of the estate was an official of the Yekaterinburg mining plant district Osipov [3] .
The two-story building is located on the left bank of the Kamenka River. It was related to the complex of factory buildings located on the right bank of the city pond. In 1908-1917, a four-class government school was located in the building, and in 1922-1931, the founder of the local museum of local lore, Ivan Yakovlevich Styazhkin , lectured. Now in the building of the former school is the administration of the Southern administrative district of the Sverdlovsk region [2] . In 2008, the building was renovated. Prior to this, the building was not in operation for more than 10 years and fell into disrepair. Restorers checked photos of the mansion, which were taken at the beginning of the twentieth century [3] .
The building was built on Karl Marx Street and is a square two-storey house in plan.
The main is the eastern facade, it is facing Karl Marx Street. Three-part symmetrical composition of six window axes. The corners of the facade on both sides are fixed with shovels with decor: a large rustic is used at the level of the lower floor, panels with decorative plaster “under the fur coat” are used at the level of the upper floor. The central part of the facade is distinguished by shoulder blades with a decorated surface, as well as an attic of complex shapes, in the tympanum of which a round dormer window is inscribed [2] .
In the frame of the onion windows, plastered profiled platbands with baroque features are used, along the ground floor, platbands are combined with sandriks decorated with crackers. Interfloor and crowning cornices are decorated with crackers passing along the bottom of the rods. The frieze part of the wall in the lateral parts of the facade is highlighted by a large rust with decorative surface treatment “under the fur coat”. At the roof level there are parapet posts marking the location of the shoulder blades [2] .
The western courtyard facade is laconic with a minimum of decor: at the level of the first floor, a rust imitating shoulder blades is used. The main entrance is westward. The layout of the first and second floors is the same and is due to the location of the main walls. The basis is the corridor scheme [2] .
On the south side of the building adjoins a brick fence with a gate and a pair of gates. The abutments of gates and gates are decorated with rust, similar to facade blades [2] .
