On August 9, 2012, Orioles first challenged Machado to the main team and he made his debut in Major League Baseball in a game with Kansas City Royals [4] . The next day, August 10, in a game with Royals, Manny knocked out two home runs , becoming the youngest author of such an achievement in the history of Baltimore [5] . Following the results of the regular season , Orioles reached the playoffs. In the third game of the division series against the New York Yankees , Machado knocked out his first home run in relegation games. In total, in his debut for the season in Major League Baseball, he played in the 51st game, beating 26.2% and making 8 doubles, 3 triples and 7 home runs.
In the spring of 2013, Machado surpassed the achievement of Ty Cobb , who made at least two hits in forty games before reaching the age of 21. By the end of May, he was the leader of Major League Baseball in the number of doubles (25) and shared first place in the number of hits with the holder of the MVP title of the American League Miguel Cabrera . On June 27, he was first removed from the field for undisciplined behavior for the first time in his career. On September 23, Machado suffered a knee injury in a game with Tampa . Due to damage, he missed the rest of the season and underwent surgery on October 10 to reduce the risk of relapse [6] . On October 29, Manny was named the owner of the Golden Glove as a third-base player, the first owner of an Orioles reward since playing for Brooks Robinson Club (1960-1975).
On April 29, 2014, Machado was excluded from the list of injured and May 1 entered the field in a game with the Pittsburgh Pirates . On June 1, in a game with Houston , he knocked out his first grand slam home run. On June 7, in a game with Athletics , a gaming incident between Machado and Josh Donaldson caused a massive brawl. The next day, in a match between these rivals, Manny hit the bat with Auckland catcher Derek Norris , and then threw the bat towards the opponent's pitcher Fernando Abad , believing that he intentionally delivers the ball close to him. As a result, Machado and Abad were removed from the field. Manny was subsequently disqualified by the league for five matches. [7] On August 11, in a game with the Yankees, he received a right knee injury requiring surgical intervention and missed the rest of the season [8] .
By the beginning of the championship in 2015, Machado recovered after the operation. On June 18, he knocked out the fourteenth home run of the season, repeating a personal record set in 2013. In July, Manny received an invitation to the All-Star Game, and also took part in the Home Run Derby [9] . As a result of the regular season, he became the only League player to play in 162 championship matches [10] . In the vote, which determined the most valuable player in the American League, Machado took fourth place. He also received his second Golden Glove.
Manny began the 2016 season with a record-breaking productive series of sixteen hit games. In the course of these matches, he beat off with an indicator of 39.7%, knocking out six home runs. On April 28, Machado knocked out his second grand slam in his career and was named the best player in the American League by the end of the month. Both players were removed from the field, Machado was subsequently disqualified for four games [11] . On August 7, in a game with the Chicago White Sox , Manny knocked out a home run in the first three innings, repeating the achievement of Carl Reynolds , set in 1930 [12] . On August 26, he knocked out his 30th and 31st home runs of the season, becoming the third Orioles player after Mark Trumbo and Chris Davis to break the 30 home runs mark in 2016. On August 30, Machado knocked out the 100th home run of his career, becoming the youngest player in Orioles history to achieve such a result (24 years and 55 days).
On January 13, 2017, according to the results of the arbitration, Machado signed a new contract with Orioles in the amount of $ 11.5 million. On April 21, while playing with Boston , Manny hit Dustin’s foot in Pedro ’s leg while running to the base, resulting in damage. Machado denied having done this on purpose, and after the game apologized to the Red Sox player. Two days later, in the next game between Boston and Baltimore, the Red Sox pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez threw the ball several times into the Machado knee area. After that, the Sox receiver Matt Barnes almost hit the ball in Manny's head. Barnes was removed from the field and was later disqualified for four matches. According to the results of August 2017, Machado was recognized as the best player of the month of the American League. After completing the regular season, he also took second place in the vote, which determined the owners of the Golden Glove, losing to Tampa player Evan Longoria .
