Drive eO

Drive eO is a Latvian company that develops electric vehicles and hybrid electric vehicles. Founded in 2011 [1] . Its engineers created the first hybrid electric car for the Dakar Rally 2012 [2] , which successfully finished (crew - Maris Saukans and Andris Dambis ) [3] . The company also developed a series of electric cars for Pikes Peak International Hill Climb races, and in 2015 the pilot Rhys Millen on the eO PP03 race car set a record for electric cars [4] and scored a final victory [5] .

The OSCar eO is based on the OSCar O3 all-wheel drive rally car manufactured by OSC . It has a hybrid transmission. Specifications are as follows [6] :

eO PP01

In the car - all-wheel drive electric transmission with a motor installed inside and running gear from the Aquila CR1 racing car. Technical characteristics [7] :

The car participated in the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb race in 2013, it was driven by Janis Gorelix [8] . Due to weather conditions, the road was slippery, and Gorelix withdrew from a distance, unable to cope with the control when turning left at Halfway Picnic Grounds [9] . In September 2013, a documentary film about the project “Uzvaras cena” [11] was shown on the Latvian TV channel LTV7 in the program “Tavs auto” [10 ] .

Drive eO returned to Pikes Peak International Hill Climb in 2014 with a new car with a chassis from Tesla Roadster . For the first time in history, the Tesla brand was represented at an international motor sport competition. When saving the running gear, it was decided to replace the transmission with Drive eO to test the new components before including them in subsequent projects [12] . The car driver Janis Gorelix took the 5th place in the class of cars with electric modifications with the result of 12: 57.536 [13] . Technical characteristics [14] :

eO PP03

The next step was the development of the eO PP03 car for the 93rd Pikes Peak International Hill Climb , held on June 28, 2015. The basis for the car was an electric transmission with a power of 1 MW and transmission with all-wheel drive. The driver Rhys Millen, who controlled this car, won the final victory [15] [16] [17] .

In 2016, the eO PP100 with a capacity of 1,620 hp, a peak torque of 2,520 Nm and a mass of 1,200 kg. Rice Millen set a new record of 8: 57,118.
