Biography

Born in 1908 in Tula. Member of the CPSU since 1931.

Since 1923 - on economic, social and political work. In 1923 - 1968 - Worker of railway workshops, assistant driver, engine driver of the Tula locomotive depot, one of the first Stakhanovites-Krivonosovites in the USSR, master of high-speed train driving, head of the Dzerzhinsky railway, chief auditor of the Central Directorate of Locomotive Economy, in senior positions on the USSR railway transport.

He was elected as a deputy of the Supreme Council of the USSR of the 1st convocation.

He died in 1975.

In honor of Ognev was named a street in Lugansk.
