Biography
Victor G. Ovsyannikov was born in 1938 in the village of Kuybyshevo, Rostov Region, in a peasant family. In 1963 he graduated from the Rostov State Medical Institute (now Rostov State Medical University ). He studied at the graduate school of the Institute at the Department of Pathological Physiology.
In 1966 he defended his thesis on the topic: "The mechanism of development of tuberculosis of the knee joint and the form of information from the lesion." Its supervisor was Professor A. Gordienko [1] .
In 1977, under the guidance of Professor Saakov Bogdan Artashesovich, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic “Circulatory Disorders in Anaphylactic Shock”. He received the degree of Doctor of Medical Sciences. In 1982, he was awarded the title of professor at the Department of Dental Physiology. Since 1983, he has been working as the head of the department of pathological physiology at Rostov State Medical University.
Research interests: pathogenesis of acute and chronic pain, the study of the relationship between pain and analgesic systems in humans. Professor Victor Grigorievich is the author of 136 scientific papers related to problems of microcirculation disorders, including two monographs and three textbooks. Under his leadership, at different times, four doctoral and 39 master's theses were prepared and defended at the university. Four of his dissenters are from Nicaragua, Bangladesh and Syria. Hobby - beekeeping.
