Nelida Vasilievna Afanasyev (born June 20, 1946 , Khabarovsk, RSFSR) is a Ukrainian pianist. Honored Artist of Ukraine (1990).

Biography
Nelida Vasilievna Afanasyev was born on June 20, 1946 in the city of Khabarovsk. She graduated from music school and with honors - Kiev Music School. Gliera (class L. B. Shur).
In 1970 she graduated from the Kiev Conservatory (now the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after P. I. Tchaikovsky ) in the class of teacher A. G. Kholodna and A. D. Inozemtsev.
After graduation she worked as an accompanist, a soloist with the Kiev State Philharmonic (now the National Philharmonic of Ukraine).
As an accompanist, she toured with famous Ukrainian singers in Ukraine and abroad: Dmitry Gnatyuk, Eug. Miroshnichenko, A. Solovyanenko, Maria Stefyuk, Anatoly Kocherga, Nikolai Kondratyuk, Valery Buymister, Lyudmila Yurchenko, Taras Shtonda and others. She prepared numerous solo programs with philharmonic soloists.
She participated in the conduct of the decade of Ukrainian literature and art in the republics of the former Soviet Union, visited tours in Spain, Germany, Finland, Japan, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Australia and New Zealand, etc.
Since 1960 he has been touring as a member of a piano duet with S. P. Glukh, performing monographic programs of foreign classics, Ukrainian classical and modern music. The duet was filmed “The Moods” musical telefilm (1984, dir. Y. Suyarko, Ukrtelefilm studio).

Since 1992 he has been working as a teacher, associate professor (since 1994) of the Department of Piano Performing and Artistic Culture of the Institute of Arts of the National Pedagogical University. M.P. Dragomanov.
