The Winchester model 1200 is a pump action shotgun developed by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in conjunction with the Olin Corporation . It was made under 12, 16 and 20 gauge. The military version of the 1200 has the ability to fix the bayonet at the end of the barrel, which will be used in melee combat.

Description
The Winchester 1200 model uses manual reloading using a moving forearm (back and forth). The barrel is locked with a butterfly valve with 4 lugs. The receiver is made of aluminum alloy, the trunks are easily removable and are available in a wide range of options and lengths, with interchangeable chokes, or with a cylinder-like drilling. Magazine tubular grenade, charged through the window at the bottom of the receiver. The box is plastic or wooden, butt has a rubber butt pad-shock absorber. The safety of the gun is push-button, it blocks the trigger when the trigger is cocked.
History
The 1200 Winchester model was introduced in 1964 as an inexpensive replacement for the venerable model 12. A small number of these weapons were purchased by the United States Army in 1968 and 1969. The military style model 1200 was essentially the same weapon as the civilian version, except that it had a vented sleeve, lines, and a bayonet tip. The Model 1200 was replaced by the Winchester Model 1300 in 1983, when the UTS Repeating Arms Company became the manufacturer of the Winchester firearms. Model 1300 production ceased in 2006 when USRAC went bankrupt.
