“Lu Xiaofeng: Before and After the Duel ” ( Chinese 陸小鳳 之 決戰 前後 ) or “ The Duel of the Century ” is an 1981 feature film directed and written by . A film adaptation of one of the novels of the writer Gu Luna . The second film from the Shao Brothers studio after The Clan of the Amazons (1978), in which plays detective Lu Xiaofeng in the film Chu Yuan [2] .

Story
First-class detective Lu Xiaofeng and his blind but intuitive friend, Hua Manlou, are puzzled by the question of why Ye Gucheng, the swordsman of whom they both have a high opinion, challenged the hero Ximen Chuixue to a deadly duel, which is supposed to happen in the imperial court. When Gucheng is asked why he wants Chui Xue's death, he shies away from the answer. Torn between two heroes, Lu Xiaofeng decides to reveal this secret and reveals a conspiracy involving impostors, llamas and hired ninjas hiding on every corner.

Film critic Andrew Pragasam from the resource The Spinning Image compares the film with its predecessor, the Amazon Clan (1978), which he calls “dull” [2] . J. Doyle Wallis announces the project as “a pretty weak fencing film by Chu Yuan” on the home video news and review site [5] .
