Biography
Frolov Alexey Dmitrievich was born on September 26, 1908. He studied, worked at radio engineering enterprises of the country. He has held major administrative positions. At the beginning of the 1960s, the Department of Design and Production of Electronic Equipment was established at the Moscow Energy Institute. Alexey Dmitrievich Frolov was invited to head the department. Alexey Dmitrievich delivered lectures to the students of MEI, supervised graduate students. Much attention in the course "Design and production of radio equipment" was paid to the study of the reliability of radio equipment, methods of its calculation and increase, design technology, the study of state standards.
On the initiative of Alexei Dmitrievich, a specialty in the design and manufacture of radio equipment was created at the radio engineering department of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute . Subsequently, specialists in the Taganrog Radio Engineering Institute (now the Engineering and Technology Academy of the Southern Federal University ), the Ryazan Radio Engineering Institute (now the Ryazan State Radio Engineering University ) and other radio engineering universities of the USSR began to train specialists in this specialty.
At various times, students of Professor of MEI Alexei Dmitrievich Frolov were students of Felix Nikolaevich Pokrovsky , Professor Vyatyshev Victor Feodosevich , Kandyrin Yu. V. and others, who later became professors of MEI.
Alexey Dmitrievich Frolov died on December 23, 1980 in Moscow at the age of 73 years. He was buried at Vvedensky cemetery.
