Biography
Born on March 8, 1964 in the village of Ganyushkino, Dengiz district, Guryev region, Kazakh SSR.
In 1986 he graduated from the Alma-Ata Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages (teacher of German and English); In 1997 he graduated from the Finance Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation (economist, banking). [one]
He began his career as a tourism inspector in the service department of the USSR State Committee for Tourism Department of the city of Almaty, where he worked in 1988-1990. Then there was the editor of the department of international relations, senior editor of the State Committee of the Kazakh SSR on television and radio broadcasting (1990-1992).
From 1992 to 1996, he worked successively as an economist, leading economist and chief economist of the correspondence relations department of the General Directorate of Monetary and Economic Relations; then - the head of the correspondence relations and dealing operations department, the deputy head of the foreign exchange accounts department and the deputy director of foreign operations.
In 1996-1997 - Deputy Chairman of the Board of Turanbank CJSC.
From 1997 to 2005 - Head of the Department of Correspondent Relations and International Settlements, Deputy Director, Director of the Monetary Operations Department of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan . In 2011, he was Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan (dismissed on January 24, 2011 by order of the Head of State). [2]
From 2011 to 2014, Alzhanov served as General Director of the Center for Supporting the Activities of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since 2014, he has been working as the director of the Republican State Enterprise Banknote Factory of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. [3]
He is a member of the Board of Directors of Central Securities Depository JSC.
