Biography

Yuri Chursin was born on March 11, 1980 in the city of Priozersk, Dzhezkazgan region (since 1997 - the Karaganda region ) of the Kazakh SSR , in the family of a military man.

In 1997 he graduated from Lyceum No. 17 of the city of Khimki, Moscow Region .

In 2001, he graduated from the acting department of the Higher Theater School named after B.V. Shchukin (artistic director of the course is Yuri Veniaminovich Shlykov ) [2] and was accepted into the troupe of the State Academic Theater named after E. B. Vakhtangov , where he played in the performances “Iguana Night” Tennessee Williams ( Pancho ), “The Deer King” by Carlo Gozzi ( Leandro ), “Two Hares” by Michael Staritsky ( Budochnik ), “King Lear” by William Shakespeare ( Edgar ), “Othello” by William Shakespeare ( Rodrigo ), “Examiner” N. V. Gogol ( Lyapkin-Tyapkin ) and others [3] .

In 2002, he played Victor in the performance of the A. Pushkin Moscow Drama Theater "Frank Polaroid Pictures" based on a play by British playwright Mark Ravenhill staged by Kirill Serebrennikov .

In 2005, he was invited to the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov for the role of Alexei Bulanov in the play "Forest" based on the play of the same name by A. N. Ostrovsky directed by Kirill Serebrennikov [4] . In the Moscow Art Theater named after A.P. Chekhov, he was also engaged in the performances of The Seagull by A.P. Chekhov ( Treplev ), Primadonna by Ken Ludwig ( Leo ), Lord Golovlev, M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin ( Petenka ), and Man Pillow ”by Martin McDonagh ( Ariel ). Left the theater troupe in the summer of 2014.

In 2009, he made his television debut in the comic television show "The Pinochet couple " on the NTV channel .
