Biography
John Hart was born December 13, 1917 in Los Angeles ( California , USA ). The mother's name was Enid, there was a sister named Shari. He graduated from high school in South Pasadena , in the same place in Pasadena , attended acting classes at the local theater. First appeared on the wide screen at the age of 19 in the episodic role of a sailor in the film “ 's ”. Hart all his life was distinguished by a strong physique and good physical shape, he knew how to ride a horse, so the directors willingly took him to small roles of muscular tall beautiful minor characters. For 44 years of his film career (1937-1940, 1946-1987), Hart starred in 167 films and series, however, in more than half of the cases, the creators did not consider it necessary to indicate it in the credits. On television since 1950.
In 1941, 23-year-old John Hart was drafted into the army, and for six years did not act in film. He served in coastal artillery , most of the service in the Philippines , and rose to the rank of first sergeant. [3] After the end of the service, Hart immediately returned to the cinema. In many films, the credits were listed under the pseudonym John Hilton .
In 1952, he replaced the famous actor Clayton Moore for one season (since he looked very much like his height and physique) in the lead role of the Lone Ranger in the - it was these 52 episodes that he mostly remembered by the audience, although he played many other roles both before and after the Lone Ranger [3] [4] . However, the audience still liked Moore in this role, so in 1954 the producers returned him to the series, agreeing to his demands to raise his fee.
February 8, 1960, John Hart was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his contribution to the development of television (6432, Hollywood Boulevard).
The last film with the participation of Hart was released in 1981 - it was the film " ". The last time the actor appeared on television in 1982, in one episode of the series "Happy Days" . In 1981-1983, the first and only time Hart tried himself as a producer: he created 57 episodes of the series " ". In 1986-1987, he became the head of dubbing more than a hundred episodes of several animated series.
John Hart died on September 20, 2009 in his home in Rosarito ( Baja California , Mexico ) from complications of dementia . The actor’s ashes were scattered over the Pacific Ocean.
Personal life
February 22, 1957, the 39-year-old Hart married the 20-year-old little-known Canadian actress Beryl Braithwaite (born 1936) [5] , and the wedding took place ten days after the first meeting. The couple lived together all their lives, 52 years old, until the death of the actor in 2009. From the marriage was the daughter of Robin [3] .
