Kirsten Lee Clark , married Rickenbach ( born Kirsten Lee Clark-Rickenbach ; born April 23, 1977 , Raymond ) is an American alpine skier who successfully performed in downhill , super giant and giant slalom . Biography

Kirsten Clark was born on April 23, 1977 in Raymond , Maine , USA . She was trained in the Carrabassett Valley ski resort at the local Sugarloaf Mountain ski club.

In 1994, she became a member of the American national team and performed at the home World Junior Championships in Lake Placid. A year later, she made her World Cup debut. At the 1997 World Championships in Sestriere, she took 24th place in the super giant program.

Thanks to a series of successful performances, she won the right to defend the country's honor at the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano - she showed 28 results in downhill skiing, 18 results in combination, while in the super giant she did not finish and did not show any result.

In 1999, she performed at the home world championships in Weila , where she finished 16th in downhill and 22nd in giant slalom. Two years later, at similar competitions in St. Anton, she started in four women's disciplines at once: she became ninth in the super giant, tenth in combination, twelfth in downhill and twentieth in giant slalom. In February 2001, she won the first and only victory in the World Cup, winning the downhill at the stage in the Swiss Lenzerheide.

Being among the leaders of the US ski team, it successfully passed the selection for the 2002 Olympic Games in Salt Lake City - took 12th, 14th and 26th places in downhill, supergiant and giant slalom, respectively.

After the home Olympics, Clark remained in the main team of the American national team and continued to take part in major international competitions. So, in 2003, she visited the St. Moritz World Championship , from where she brought the silver dignity award won in the supergiant - she let forward only the titled Austrian Michael Dorfmeister . Also showed here 19 results in downhill.

In 2005, at the world championship in Bormio, she closed the top ten in the supergiant.
