Thomas Hylland Eriksen ( Norwegian Thomas Hylland Eriksen ; born July 26, 1951 in Oslo) is a Norwegian anthropologist , professor at the University of Oslo. In 1993-2001 Editor of the largest social science magazine in Norway, Samtiden (Modernity). In 2015—2016 President of the European Association of Social Anthropology. Member of the Norwegian Academy of Sciences . Known for his studies in the field of nationalism , ethnicity and globalization [1] [2] .
