Club career

He began his career in his native Poland, played for the clubs "Falcon" (Pniewy) and " Tychy ".

In 1995 he went to Greece, where he signed a contract with the local Panahiki . However, six months later he returned to Poland and signed a contract with the Warsaw Legia . Without becoming the main one there, he accepted the invitation from Brazil and became a player of the club Atletico Paranaense .

In 1998 he moved to the German Wolfsburg , with which the main successes of his career are associated. Nowak quickly became the main player of the Wolfgang Wolf team, who recently went to the First Bundesliga , and with it immediately got into the UEFA Cup. He performed under the 10th number.

International Career

He made his debut in Poland in 1997 in a game against Georgia . The match ended with the victory of the Poles with a score of 4-1, Novak scored a goal. This goal remained the only one for him for the national team.

In 1999, already playing for Wolfsburg , he became the main player in the national team. In total, he has 10 matches.

Sickness and death

In 2000, Novak was diagnosed with an incurable disease - amyotrophic lateral sclerosis . He spent the last match on February 10, 2001 against the Berlin “ Hertha ”, coming on as a substitute. After that, I did not go out on the field, but I regularly came to the club’s home matches and talked with partners.

In 2002, Wolfsburg organized the Krzysztof Novak Foundation for the study of amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. On January 21, 2003, a charity friendly match was held in which Bayern Munich was the rival of the “wolves”.

He died on May 26, 2005 in Wolfsburg , was buried on June 4 in the same place. He left Beath's wife and two daughters - Maximilian and Maria.
