Biography
Born in 1914 in the village of Semchezero of the Mendusel Village Council in a Karelian peasant family, in 1928 he graduated from elementary school.
Since 1929 - on economic and public work. In 1929 - 1964 - a lumberjack, an electric saw, a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, the foreman of the flow-complex brigade of the Lob timber station of the Medvezhyegorsk timber industry enterprise of the Karelian Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic.
For the development and implementation of new types of electric saws in the forest industry, the team was awarded the Stalin Prize of the 2nd degree for outstanding inventions and radical improvements in production methods in 1949. The production experience of the team of Alexei Gotchiev was widely used in logging of the USSR. Member of the CPSU since 1951.
He was elected deputy of the Supreme Council of the USSR of the 3rd convocation.
He died in 1964.
