Anthony Robert Canada (May 5, 1919 - November 29, 2003) is a former professional American football player who played in the National Football League as a halfback for the Green Bay Packers from 1941 to 1952. He missed the 1945 season and almost the entire 1944 season due to military service during the Second World War . He played college football at the University of Gonzaga, where he earned the nickname "The Gray Ghost of Gonzaga." Selected by the Packers in 1941, Canadeo played a variety of positions, ranninbek , quarterback , defensive backing, panther and return specialist.

Before the war, Canadeo was a multi-faceted player successful in take-out, pass and antler. In 1943, at the Packers, He was the leader in the collected yards on take-out and pass. After returning from service, he mainly played as a runner back and in 1949 became the third player in league history to score more than 1,000 yards per season. He left the team as a record holder in the take-away yards and by 2016 is ranked 4th in this performance among the Packers footballers. The Packers immediately reported that number 3 would forever remain with Tony Canada as soon as he announced his retirement. Canada was inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame in 1974.
