Vasiliy Sadovy ( 1896 , the village of Galichany , Austria-Hungary , now the Gorodok district of the Lviv region - December 3, 1950 , the city of Lviv ) - Ukrainian Soviet leader, working turner, deputy chairman of the Lviv city executive committee, chairman of the Shevchenkovsky district executive committee of the city of Lviv. Member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR 1-3 convocations (in 1940-1950).

Biography
Born into a peasant family. Soon lost his father. He began his career at the age of fifteen as a turner student in a private mechanical workshop in the city of Lviv .
Member of World War I: served as a private in the Austro-Hungarian army. He was captured by Russian. In 1918 he returned to Lviv, for some time he was unemployed.
Since 1921, he worked as a turner in the Lviv railway workshops (since 1939 - at the Lviv steam locomotive-repair plant). He took part in the activities of the cooperative society "Ukrainian Labor Union".
After the accession of Western Ukraine to the USSR in September 1939, he was elected as a deputy of the National Assembly of Western Ukraine , made a report on the nationalization of industry. He was the chairman of the working committee of the Lviv railway workshops, he headed the committee of trade unions of the Lviv steam locomotive repair plant.
During World War II he was evacuated. He worked as a turner at the Saratov metalworking (machine-building) plant and as a master of industrial training at the factory-factory training school (FZO). Member of the CPSU (b) since 1942 .
In 1944-1946 - Deputy Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Lviv City Council of Workers' Deputies of the Lviv Region.
From 1946 to December 3, 1950 - Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Shevchenko District Council of Workers' Deputies of the city of Lviv .
