Lichupe ( Latvian. Līčupe ) is a settlement in the Ogre region of Latvia . The administrative center of the Masozol volost . It is located at the regional highway P4 ( Riga - Ergli ), on the left bank of the Lichupe River. The city of Ogre is about 71 km [1] .

According to the data for 2018, 283 people lived in the settlement [2] . There is a volost administration, an elementary school, a house of culture, a library, a feldsher point, a post office, and a store [3] .
History
In Soviet times, the village was the center of the Mazozolsky village council of the Ogre district . In the village was the central estate of the farm named after Oscalna [1] . Nearby was the Riga - Ergli railway line with the Lichupe platform (now dismantled).
