Direct passenger and local trains run to Julfa , Razi, Tehran , Selmas , Mashhad and others.

Once a week, the passenger train of the Iranian formation No. 495 runs with the Tabriz- Van international link. The train travels to one of the points on the Van-Tatvan ferry crossing on Lake Van .

History

The station was opened in 1916 [1] on the first railway in Iran’s history , which connected the Persian Tabriz with Russian Julfa and was built by Russian workers and engineers in 1908-1916.

In 1908 [2] the “Tauris Railway Society” was created, one of the founders of which was the Persian Accounting and Loan Bank [3] . Surveys and construction of a railway line in Persian territory began.

The labor movement from Russian Julfa to Tabriz was opened in 1915 and the "Regulation on the temporary movement" to Tabriz was approved [4] . The total length of the path was 149 kilometers.

The modern building of the railway station was designed by architects Fernand Puyon and Heydar Guillaume. The project is made in the art deco style [5] . In 1958, the railway line to Tehran with a length of 748 km was put into commercial operation. The station building is recognized as a national treasure - a monument of architecture and urban planning of Iran [6]
