Udalov, Nikolai Nikolaevich

Udalov Nikolai Nikolaevich March 1, 1943 in Moscow in the family of a major general, a participant in the Great Patriotic War, Nikolai Alekseevich Udalov and housewife Evdokia Sergeyevna. In 1966 he graduated from the Radio Engineering Department of MPEI with a degree in radio physics. He studied at the graduate school of the Faculty of Radio Engineering. In 1973, after graduating from postgraduate studies and defending a Ph.D. thesis on the topic "Transients in phase synchronization systems", he worked at MPEI as a junior researcher, assistant. He received the degree of candidate of technical sciences, the title of associate professor (1981). From 1978 to 1979, he completed an internship at the Danish Technical University in the city of Lingby.

In 1995, Nikolai Nikolaevich defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Synthesis and analysis of nonlinear phase synchronization systems." He received the doctorate in technical sciences and the title of professor (1997). Since 1996, he has been working at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute as a professor at the Department of Radio Signal Formation and Processing (FORS). In 1997, Nikolai Nikolayevich was awarded the academic title of professor. In 1998, N. N. Udalov was elected dean of the Radio Engineering Faculty of MPEI. In 2002, at the MPEI on the basis of the Faculty of Radio Engineering and the Faculty of Electronic Engineering, the Institute of Radio Engineering and Electronics named after V. A. Kotelnikov MPEI (TU). Udalov Nikolai Nikolaevich was elected director of this institute. He worked as a director and at the same time, until 2008 - dean of the radio engineering faculty of the RTF.

Udalov Nikolay Nikolaevich is the author of about 180 scientific works, under his leadership six candidate dissertations were completed and defended at MPEI. At one time, he worked as a member of the expert council on Electronics, Measuring Engineering, Radio Engineering and Communications of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation (1999-2013), chairman of the dissertation council at MPEI (1999).
