Ermengol (Armengol) I from Cordoba ( Spanish Ermengol (Armengol) I el de Córdoba ; 973/977 - September 1, 1010 ) - Count of Urhel since 992.

The second son of Count Barcelona of Borrel II . Under the division of paternal possessions received Urhel.
He traveled to Rome twice (998, 1001) and regularly made pilgrimages to Santiago de Compostela and Le Puy .
He asserted his suzerainty over castles, the owners of which used to enjoy complete independence.
A participant in the Reconquista , in 1003-1004 he was captured by the Cordoban caliph Abdelmelik. In 1008, he made several successful raids on the territory of the caliphate.
In 1010, together with his brother, Count of Barcelona, Raymond Barrell , he made a trip to Cordoba, during which he died.
Wife - Heriberg. In Europäische, Stammtafeln is named as Tetberg, daughter of Count of Provence Rothbold II . It is mentioned in documents dated July 10, 1000 and April 7, 1005. She died no later than 1017 years. From her children:
