Savitsky, Georgy Konstantinovich

G.K. Savitsky was born on October 10 (23), 1887 in St. Petersburg . The son and student of K. A. Savitsky , the Russian artist-Wanderer. After graduating from high school ^[1] , he continued his studies at the Penza Art School (1902-1908) with A. F. Afanasyev , N. K. Grandkovsky , at the Higher Art School at the Imperial Academy of Arts (1908-1915) with F. A. Roubaud V.E. Makovsky . Member of AHRR . Full member of the Academy of Arts of the USSR (1949). He worked at TASS Windows .

The leader of the team (after the death of M. B. Grekov ) on the creation of the panorama "Assault Perekop" (1934-1940).

G.K.Savitsky died on August 13, 1949 . He was buried in Moscow at the Novodevichy cemetery (plot number 2).
