Pakhomov, Victor Fedorovich

Viktor Pakhomov (March 16, 1932, Novomoskovsk, Tula Region - September 1, 2017, Tula [1] ) - Soviet and Russian Tula writer, poet. Member of the Writers' Union of the USSR (1975). For more than a quarter of a century, he headed the Tula branch of the Writers' Union of Russia (since 1987) [2] . Honored Worker of Culture of the Russian Federation (2005) [3] . Honorary Citizen of the Hero City of Tula (2007).

Biography

Coming from a peasant family, his father died at the front in 1943.

He studied at the Yelets Art School, graduated from the Moscow Art School in memory of 1905 and the correspondence department of the art-graphic faculty of the Moscow State Correspondence Pedagogical Institute - now M. Sholokhov Moscow Humanitarian University (1966). In 1951-1955 he served in the army in the Far East. He worked as a teacher, director of secondary schools in Bogoroditsky district, responsible secretary of the Bogoroditskaya regional newspaper, led the literary association.

While still at school, he began to write poetry, published in 1958. As VF Pakhomov himself recalled, the poet N.K Starshinov [4] played a decisive role in his development as a poet in his fate. It was published in the local press, in the Uchitelskaya Gazeta, in the weekly Literary Russia, in the magazines Yunost, Smena, Rural Youth, Druzhba Narodov, Nash Sovremennik, Poetry, in collective collections . The first collection of poems "My Village" was released in 1974. Altogether, he published 8 poetic books, two collections of selected poems, and the anthology "The Tula Territory in Literature and Art" [5] .

He was secretary of the Writers' Union of Russia and since 1987 for 27 years as executive secretary of its Tula regional branch, at the origins of which he was founded [5] , as well as a member of the board of culture at the Administration of Tula region, a member of the editorial board of the Prioksky Dawns magazine. Full member of Peter the Great Academy of Sciences and Arts . He lived in Tula, where he died.

He was awarded medals "For Valiant Labor" and "Veteran of Labor", a medal "Labor Valor" III degree [5] . Winner of literary awards of the Writers' Union of Russia, the magazine "Friendship of Peoples" and the award of the Tula region named after L. N. Tolstoy.
