Gorky ( Kaz. Gorky ) is a bitter-salty lake in the Kyzylzhar district of the North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan . It is located 24 km east of the city of Mamlyutka [1] and approximately 10 km northwest of Petropavlovsk .

According to a topographic survey of the 1940s, the surface area of the lake is 8.25 km². The largest length of the lake is 4 km, the largest width is 2.5 km. The coastline is 11.6 km long, the coastline development is 1.13. The lake is located at an altitude of 95.6 m above sea level [1] .
