Swefbert issued an undated charter [1] , which was witnessed by Oswin, and probably Gabertus , who witnessed the charter [2] , issued by Oswin in July 689. He is usually identified with Swefhard because of their similar names and dating matches, but shared control of the kingdom was common in Anglo-Saxon England, especially in Essex, where Swefhard was born.
