Turkish woman (tributary Again)

Turchanka ( Ukrainian: Turchanka ) is the left tributary of the Again flowing through the Koryukovsky and Snovsky districts ( Chernihiv region , Ukraine ). In the middle and upper reaches (before the confluence of the Berezovka) is called Turia .

Geography

Length - 39 or 40 [1] km. The catchment area is 446 km². The riverbed (elevation marks) in the middle reaches (Chepelev village) - 122.2 m, in the upper reaches (Romanovskaya Buda village) - 147.3 m.

The channel is slightly winding. The flow rate is 0.2 (at the source - 0.1). The channel along almost the entire length is straightened into a channel (canalized) 12 m wide and 2.2 and 2.5 m deep (in the lower reaches 11 m wide and 0.5 and 0.8 m deep). A pond was created on the river in the upper reaches (Romanovskaya Buda village).

Floodplain foci are occupied by forests, meadows and wetlands. In the lower reaches (between the villages of Turya and Chepelev) steep banks with beaches 2 m high, where on the right bank adjoin meadow-marshlands. Throughout the entire length (except for the upper stream), channels and channel networks are adjacent to the channel.

It originates east of the village of Lupasovo ( Koryukovsky district ). The river flows west. It flows into Snov north of the city of Snovsk ( Snovsky district ), part of the city was previously a separate village Nosovka.
