Biography

Born December 24, 1899 in the village of Aleksandrovka, Yekaterinoslav Uyezd in the Yekaterinoslav Province (now a village in the Dnipropetrovsk Region of Ukraine).

Member of World War II.

Since 1938 - a worker, since 1940 - a foreman, agricultural engineer of the Nizami grape farm in the city of Kirovabad. In 1948 he received 141.7 centners per hectare of grapes on a high-yielding plot of 10.79 hectares. In 1949 he received a grape crop of 193.8 centners per hectare on an area of ​​15.3 hectares. Obtaining high grape harvests by the brigade consisted in the application of modern, at that time, agrotechnical methods - the introduction of manure and nitrogenous fertilizers. Each year, in the spring, the brigade brought into the ground 20 kilograms of manure per hectare, and the brigade under the supervision of Moroz carried out nitrogenous feeding in the summer.

By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of September 4, 1950 , for receiving high grape yields in irrigated vineyards in 1949, Sidor Mitrofanovich Moroz was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal " Hammer and Sickle ."

Since 1968 - a pensioner of national importance. Since 1969 he lived in the city of Baku, the capital of the Azerbaijan SSR.

He died on June 28, 1973 in the city of Baku.
