Biography

Nikolai Gavrilovich Sushkin for higher education entered the Moscow Energy Institute . October 15, 1936, Nikolai Sushkin, while working on his graduation project, created the first Soviet electron microscope and demonstrated it in action at the Department of Electronic Devices of the Moscow Power Engineering Institute. The journal β€œEnergetik” [3] made a publication about this event.

In 1940, Nikolai Gavrilovich Sushkin became a graduate of the Moscow Energy Institute . He graduated from graduate school under the guidance of A. P. Ivanov [2] .

After Nikolai Sushkin was demobilized from the army in 1944, he performed his first research in the field of electron-beam heating. He co-authored an experiment on the diffraction of individual electrons. This experiment was called the Bieberman – Sushkin – Fabrikant experiment [3] because it was carried out together with L. M. Bieberman and V. A. Fabrikant [4] in 1949 [5] at the MPEI department [6] . The result of this experiment was the emergence of evidence of the presence of wave properties in an individual particle [4] . This experiment was written in monographs and textbooks [6] .

Nikolai Gavrilovich Sushkin headed the electron microscope laboratory at the Department of Physics at MPEI, and later became a professor at the Department of Physics at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute [2] .

In 1949, in Moscow, the publishing house " Soviet Science " published his book "Electron Microscope" [7] [8] [9] .
