Zhukov, Alexey Valerevich

Alexey Valerievich Zhukov (born January 15, 1976 , Moscow , USSR ) is a Russian basketball coach. Assistant to the head coach of the Nizhny Novgorod basketball club.

Career

Zhukov’s coaching career began in 1995 at the Moscow school SDYUSSHOR No. 71 Timiryazevskaya. In it, Alexey worked until 2011, and a little earlier, in 2006, he joined the youth project of PBC CSKA .

In 2007, the Moscow national team born in 1992 under his leadership, she took 1st place at the Spartakiad of students of Russia, and in 2009 she became the winner of the country's Championship. At PBC CSKA, he worked with young players, and almost every year his wards were among the winners or became winners of youth and youth competitions.

As the head coach of the Russian national teams (under 16), he took eighth (2008) and fifth (2011) places in European championships.

In June 2017, Zhukov became an assistant to the head coach in Nizhny Novgorod [1] .
