Tsvetkov, Pavel Mikhailovich

Pavel Mikhailovich Tsvetkov ( 1907 -?) - Soviet scientist, candidate of economic sciences , head of Moscow universities. In 1943-1946 he headed the Moscow Credit and Economic Institute, one of the two universities-predecessors of the Moscow Financial Institute (now Financial University under the Government of the Russian Federation ).

Biography

Born in 1907 in the village of Stoilovka of the Russian Empire, now the Vyazemsky district of the Smolensk region.

In 1930 he graduated from the Faculty of Organization of the Territory of the Moscow Land Surveying Institute and received the qualification of an engineer-land surveyor. Then he was sent to the Stalingrad region as the head of a group of specialists in organizing the life of the Stalingrad region.

In 1931, Tsvetkov was sent to graduate school at the Moscow Institute of Labor Economics. After graduating from graduate school and defending a dissertation, since 1934 he worked at the All-Union Planning Academy as a teacher, associate professor, head of the department of political economy, dean of the faculty. In 1938 he was confirmed in the academic rank of associate professor, in 1939 he was awarded the degree of candidate of economic sciences. In connection with the closure of the Planning Academy, in 1941 Tsvetkov was sent to the Moscow State Pedagogical Institute as the head of the department.

Since September 1943, Pavel Mikhailovich - Director of the Moscow Credit and Economic Institute; part-time - the head of the department of political economy of this university. In July 1947 he became director of the All-Union Correspondence Financial Institute (VZFEI) [1] , where he worked until 1953. In November 1953, he began teaching at the Moscow State Historical and Archival Institute , and retired in 1962.

For 12 years, P. M. Tsvetkov worked in the field of education of financial and economic personnel. His organizational abilities fully manifested themselves in the period 1943-1945, when he was able to quickly restore the normal operation of the MKEI after his re-evacuation from Saratov .

He was awarded with medals. The date of his death is unknown.
