Chervonets Peter III - Golden Chervonets Russian Empire , minted in 1762 during the reign of Peter III . The chervonets had no fixed face value, its weight was equal to the European ducat . On the obverse of the coin, the portrait of the emperor is depicted in profile, on the reverse - the coat of arms of the Russian Empire [1] [2] .

Description
The diameter of the gold piece made of 978 gold is equal to 20 mm , and its weight is equal to the weight of ducat and is 3.47 g [3] .
Obverse
On the obverse of the ten-ruble coin, the right bosom profile of Peter III is depicted. On his head wearing a wig with a braid, tied with a ribbon. The emperor is dressed in a cuirass with an eagle on his chest, the St. Andrew's ribbon is slung over his right shoulder, the imperial mantle is lowered from his left shoulder.
Under the image of Peter III is the abbreviation "SPB" - a sign of the St. Petersburg Mint ; on top of the circle of the coin - the inscription "PETR • III • B • M • IMPERATOR •” [4] .
Reverse
The reverse of the chervonets depicts the Coat of Arms of the Russian Empire - a double-headed eagle with raised wings, topped with three imperial crowns. In his right paw, he squeezes the scepter , in his left holds the power . On the chest of the eagle there is an oval shield with the image of St. George the Victorious on a horse, striking a winged dragon with a spear. Around the shield is the chain of the Order of St. Andrew the First Called .
Bottom in a circle of the coin is the inscription “ISAMODERG • ALL-SIZE •”, with the letters facing inward with the base. Above, above the heads of the eagle, the date of coinage is indicated - “1762” [4] .
