Krape ( Latvian. Krape ) is a settlement in the Ogre region of Latvia . The administrative center of Krapsky volost . It is located on the left bank of the Lobe River (a tributary of the Western Dvina ). The city of Ogre is about 61 km [1] . According to data for 2018, 177 people lived in the village [2] . There is a volost administration, an elementary school, a people's house, a library, a post office, a feldsher and midwife station, a shop, a Lutheran church (1802) and an Orthodox church (1891) [3] .

History
In Soviet times, the village was the center of the Krapsky village council of the Ogre district . The village housed the central estate of the collective farm. Lenin [1] .
