Gorky Street - in Feodosia, one of the main streets of the city, located in the historical part, goes as a continuation of Aivazovsky Avenue along the coastline and railway lines; Behind Starokarantina Street passes into Portovaya Street. The length of the street is more than 1.5 km.

The middle part of the street, starting from Railway Station Square and up to Armenian Street, is raised above the roadway, planted with plane trees , a boulevard is built on it, a number of monuments are erected, a memorial complex "Heroes Alley" with portraits of the Theodosians - heroes of the Crimean (1854-1856) and Great World War II . There is a cafe.
The historical building of the street partially damaged during the years of World War II was partially preserved [1] .
History
The former name of the street is Italian. Passed through the territory of the ancient Genoese fortress , partially preserved to this day walls and towers, in particular, d. 1 - Tower of St. Constantine
The modern name in honor of the famous Russian Soviet writer Maxim Gorky (1868-1936), who was in Feodosia in his young years, in 1891 [2] . The street was renamed in the 1920s, after the establishment of Soviet power in the city.
